As the sixth session of the DHARTI Speaks! series, Unlocking 500 Years of Real Data in Historical Spanish with AI was held on 14 May 2026 at 8:30 PM (IST). The session featured Prof. Patricia Murrieta-Flores, Distinguished Professor in Digital Humanities and Artificial Intelligence at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico) and Chair in Digital Humanities at Lancaster University (United Kingdom). The talk explored how Artificial Intelligence can be used to unlock and analyse five centuries of historical Spanish-language data, highlighting the possibilities of AI and computational methods for working with large-scale historical records and opening new avenues for research in the Digital Humanities.
