DHARTI Speaks! #3 (2025): DH and AI Futures: Pathways, Possibilities, and Perils

As the third session of the DHARTI Speaks! series, DH and AI Futures: Pathways, Possibilities, and Perils was held on 2 August 2025, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM (IST). The panel brought together Dr. Vinayak Dasgupta (Shiv Nadar Institute of Eminence, India), Dr. Maya Dodd (FLAME University, India), Dr. Souvik Mukherjee (IIT Indore, India), Dr. Rahul K. Gairola (IIT Roorkee, India), Dr. Arjun Ghosh (IIT Delhi, India), and Steven S. George (Jamia Millia Islamia, India) to discuss the emerging relationship between Digital Humanities and Artificial Intelligence. The discussion explored the pathways, possibilities, and potential perils of AI in humanities research and practice, considering both the opportunities offered by emerging technologies and the methodological, ethical and disciplinary questions they raise.
