DHARTI Communications Officer

The Digital Humanities Alliance for Research and Teaching Innovations (DHARTI) warmly invites volunteers to join our Outreach Task Force as Communications Officer.

About Us


DHARTI, a registered non-profit organisation in India, works to enable and support digital practices in arts and humanities scholarship in India, both within and beyond academic institutes. We nurture and mentor Digital Humanities projects across India, provide a platform to showcase and validate humanities projects, develop research networks for Digital Humanities scholars, and connect projects from India with international forums.

About the Role: Outreach Designer


We are looking for volunteers who enjoy visual storytelling and would like to support DHARTI’s activities. As an Outreach Designer, you will oversee the development and effectiveness of DHARTI’s public presence. These positions involve editorial oversight and responsibility for updates to the DHARTI website and social media. :

  • Design posters, flyers and digital banners for events, workshops and calls
  • Create visuals for social media and other publicity material
  • Help shape a clear and consistent visual identity for DHARTI
  • Work with the core team on ideas for campaigns and communication

Who Can Apply

  • Students, early-career researchers, designers, practitioners and DH enthusiasts
  • Anyone with an interest in digital humanities or related areas
  • People comfortable with at least one design tool (for example, Canva, etc.)
    • Submissions cannot be AI-generated.
  • Individuals who can respect timelines and care about accessible, inclusive design

What You Will Gain

Term

  • The Term will be for one year, renewable upto three years.
